SOS is a full-service commercial-side medical affairs group established in 1997 as the pharmaceutical industry’s first Contract Medical Organization (CMO). SOS’ only focus is delivering comprehensive outsourcing of medical affairs activities, including domestic and international Medical Science Liaisons (MSLs), medical communications services, and drug safety support to pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device companies. We integrate these contracted medical affairs activities with our clients’ core commercial objectives.
Since 1997, SOS has initiated more than 50 Medical Science Liaison (MSL) programs for its clients, including five of the top 10 pharmaceutical companies. SOS has hired, trained and deployed hundreds of domestic and international MSLs, the vast majority of whom have been internalized by SOS clients. To date, SOS has supported 21 products during pre-launch and launch phases.
